OUR COFFEE TRUCK FRANCHISE REVOLUTION
The birth of The Rush Coffee Franchise is both typical and unique at the same time. Typical in that it’s the story of burn-out from corporate careers and the need for more flexibility and more meaning in life.
After decades spent growing and learning in the corporate world, our founders were determined to step out on their own. With young kids at home, they felt like they were missing out on the most important pieces of life, and the idea for The Rush Coffee was born.
Riding on previous coffee shop experience plus experience at corporations and non-profits, years in project management, logistics and mechanics, our founders set out to claim the American dream of working for themselves.
The Rush Coffee truck first hit the San Diego streets in March 2017, with a second truck in 2018 and the third in 2019. Within 3 short years, The Rush Coffee had made a big impact in the San Diego County mobile coffee scene, delivering happiness to tens of thousands of people each year.
Fast-forward to March 2020 when the pandemic flipped everything upside down. Most people would think this would be a story of so many other businesses that couldn’t hang on, but The Rush Coffee soared!
Business Soars and a Coffee Truck Franchise is Born
Unknown to everyone back in 2017, mobile food and beverage businesses, would be nearly pandemic-proof. Considered “essential” by the government, we were able to not only remain open but also avoided many of the closure struggles that brick-and-mortar businesses faced.
Not too long into the pandemic, the customers were flooding in and The Rush Coffee experienced record-breaking months. Not only that, but we were able to launch our mobile coffee truck franchise and our first franchised truck hit the streets in North Austin, Texas at the end of 2021.

We built The Rush Coffee so we all could have more time with our families. It has turned into a thriving family-owned franchise, where each location holds strong ties with their local community.
