OUR COFFEE TRUCK FRANCHISE REVOLUTION
The birth of The Rush Coffee Franchise is both typical and unique at the same time. Typical in that it’s the story of burn-out from corporate careers and the need for more flexibility and more meaning.
After decades spent growing and learning in the corporate world, founders Claire & Parsegh Oksayan were determined to make a change. With 2 young boys at home, they felt like they were missing out on the most important pieces of life, and the idea for The Rush Coffee was born.
Riding on Claire’s experience as a barista and career at a non-profit, and Parsegh’s experience and skills in everything else they would need, they set out to claim the American dream of working for themselves.
The Rush Coffee truck first hit the streets in March 2017, with a second truck in 2018 and the third in 2019. Within 3 short years, The Rush Coffee had made a big impact in the San Diego County mobile coffee scene (and really just overall food truck franchise scene), delivering happiness to tens of thousands of people each year.
Fast-forward to March 2020 when the pandemic flipped everything upside down. Most people would think this would be a story of so many other businesses that couldn’t hang on, but The Rush Coffee soared!
Business Soars and a Coffee Truck Franchise is Born
Unknown to everyone back in 2017, mobile food and beverage businesses, would be nearly pandemic-proof. Considered “essential” by the government, we were able to not only remain open but also avoided many of the closure struggles that brick-and-mortar businesses faced.
Not too long into the pandemic, the customers were flooding in and The Rush Coffee experienced record-breaking months. Not only that, but we were able to launch our mobile coffee truck franchise and our first franchised truck hit the streets in North Austin, Texas at the end of 2021.

Is our tagline because we deliver delicious cups of happiness (a.k.a. coffee) to our customers wherever we go. But also because through our franchise offering, we get to deliver happiness (a.k.a. flexibility and opportunity) to people just like you!

We are thankful for the opportunity to manage and grow this unique business that God has provided for us, and it’s our faith that guides us to act with integrity and grows us to build a solid coffee truck franchise for people who want to join us. We built The Rush Coffee so we could have more time with our family. It has turned into a thriving family business, with even our 2 sons getting involved, plus siblings, parents and friends.
We believe in freedom – the freedom of working for yourself, choosing the days you work, the events you say yes to and what you decline. Our franchise offers a level of flexibility that most franchises can’t.
